As you may have noticed, I was Out & About in Blowing Rock, NC this past weekend on a little vaycay. The leaves had already peaked there but the Blue Ridge Parkway was still crowded with foliage-oglers and the streets of the little downtown were packed with curious shoppers checking out what’s new and fun for Christmas 2009.
One thing that caught my eye was a bubbling (literally) Christmas Tree covered in merman (and a few mermaid) ornaments. I grabbed a photo of the Merman Football Player Ornament for you:
Because what better way to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus better than by hanging a statuette of a dude with a rippling six-pack and sparkly fish tail on a white bubbling tree in your living room? After a little research I learned that these fishy ornaments are made by Diamonds of the Sea. Here are a few more of my faves:
